THE USE OF YIN TUI NA AND STOMACH CHANNEL ACUPUNCTURE POINTS IN THE TREATMENT OF FACIAL IMMOBILITY IN PARKINSON'S DISEASE

This is a single case study of a patient with 25 years of facial immobility from Parkinson's disease (PD) who was treated with Yin Tui Na on his right foot followed by acupuncture on the right foot. Full facial expression returned and the patient experienced considerable improvement ina range of symptoms. There is also a brief survey of changes in facial expression in a group of forty two subjects with PD, twenty three of whom could not smile, all of whom could smile following foot treatment with Yin Tui Na and, in many cases, foot acupuncture.
