February 10, 2015 - Apesar da promessa precoce e um grande interesse na creatina como um possível tratamento para a doença de Parkinson (DP), um novo grande teste duplo-cego, controlado por placebo, descobriu que este tratamento não melhora os resultados clínicos em pacientes com DP.
As novas descobertas "não suportam o uso da creatina" em pacientes com início de DP tratados com terapia de fundo dopaminérgico, conforme os autores do estudo, um deles Karl Kieburtz, médico, da Universidade de Rochester Centro de Terapêutica Experimental Humanos, New York, concluem.
